Het Kommelkwartier is het kleinste en dichtstbevolkte kwartier binnen de Singels van Maastricht.Café Paulus is omgeven met o.a. diversen speciaalzaken, boetiekjes, Universiteit Maastricht, Kunstacademie en het Theater aan het Vrijthof.
